WCPR Stills Needs Sports Officials

UPDATE 6/26/13: Please take a good look at your schedule and see if you can help others enjoy participating in sports in Williamson County. The WCPR is still in need of sporting officials. Help if you can, the enjoyment you give is worth the time you spend, and you get paid.

UPDATE 5/17/13: The county desperately needs sports officials to meet the growing demand for team competition. Please consider doing some part time work as an official!

Original Post:

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCP&R) department is searching for sports officials to help officiate. Increased participation in sport leagues has created a demand for a larger staff of sports officials. Self motivated, sports-oriented adults and young adults are needed now.

These are part-time positions up to 30 hours a week, with most of your time being nights and weekends. Sports officials with experience are preferred, but training may be arranged for those with no officiating experience. The most immediate need is for slow and fast-pitch softball umpires for youth and adult programs, but officials are also needed for basketball, volleyball and flag football. Adults (age 21 and older) may serve as officials for adult or youth leagues, and young adults (age 16-20) may officiate only in the youth leagues.
