WCPR Accepting Applications for Summer Jobs & Internships

Looking for a summer gig?

Check out Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR). They are now accepting applications for temporary/seasonal jobs and internships for this summer.

Temporary and part-time positions are available in several areas, including lifeguards, camp counselors and sports officials.

If you are interested in a lifeguard position, WCPR is offering two sessions of training courses for Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR/AED certifications: March 15-21 and March 29-April 12.

The March 15-21st session will be 9a-5p every day and is open to the public. Participants must be 15 years of age on or before the final day of the course. Classes will be held at both the Indoor Sports Complex and Longview Rec Center. You may register for this session in-person at either location on March 1st at noon.

The second session (March 29-April 12) will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings  and all day on Saturdays at both the Indoor Sports Complex and Longview Rec Center. Registration is Saturday, April 19 at noon at the Indoor Sports Complex.

If you have previously attained Lifeguard certification, get your certification renewed on May 5th at 5pm. The cost is $25. Registration for this class is Saturday, April 19th at noon at the Indoor Sports Complex.

WCPR is also on the lookout for great summer interns. If you have an interest in public recreation, athletics, event planning or therapeutics, WCPR may be the place for you to gain valuable work experience.
