Watch Out for Felix the Fox

The County’s Parks and Recreation department now has their very own mascot: Felix the Fox, whose main job will be to show the community around WCPR facilities and parks.

Felix the fox sittingDuring the summer, members of the Williamson County community will have a chance to win Parks and Recreation prizes by guessing the location of Felix. Every Tuesday WCPR will post a mystery picture on their Facebook with Felix at one of the many WCPR facilities and parks. If you’re the first person to guess correctly you will win a prize pack, which includes useful things like backpacks and summer gear from the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department.

“Felix is going to be very busy this summer,” said Kerri Hudson of WCPR. “He’s visiting a lot of different locations and he’s participating in a lot of different activities at different locations. We wanted to not only get the word out about the number of amenities that we have across the county but the many different things that people can do at our facilities.”

So watch out for Felix the Fox this summer as he appears on Facebook every Tuesday. Be the first to comment his correct location and you’ll be a winner.

This past Tuesday Felix appeared at the pool in the Williamson County Indoor Sports Complex. Joana Riddick was the first winner of the “Where is Felix?” campaign.
