Franklin Musician’s Single Gets Praise from Vince Gill, Watch the Video

Franklin resident, Chris Janson, made his debut on the Nissan Stadium stage during CMA Fest 2016.

But its his latest video that has everyone talking. Vince Gill even told Rolling Stone that he predicts it will be the song of the year. We will just have to wait a few more months when award season rolls around to see if “Holdin’ Her” will actually be song of the year.

If you look closely, you will see glimpses of the Franklin Theatre and Main Street in downtown Franklin. Janson even mentions in his lyrics “a park bench on 4th Street where he popped the question. ”

The romantic love song showcases Janson’s voice and guitar virtuosity. It’s written for an audience of one, but at the same time is universal and might fit right in on a classic country playlist.

“‘Holdin’ Her’ is my favorite song – my No. 1 favorite,” Janson said. “It’s an absolute true story, from start to finish. It’s the story of the things that I love most: my wife and my kids and my journey in life. If anyone wants a real look inside my life, here it is. Out of all the songs I’ve ever written, ‘Holdin’ Her’ is the one song that I have always wanted to hear on the radio. Having it as my single makes me smile. This song took on a life of its own, and the way that it connects with people is undeniable.”

Janson is on tour this summer, follow him on Facebook for the latest updates and tour dates.
