CMT Crossroads filmed their latest show in Franklin just before Thanksgiving featuring Kesha and Old Crow Medicine Show.
Kesha, who received her very first GRAMMY nomination on Tuesday for “Best Pop Solo Performance” calls Nashville home and even attended Williamson County Schools.
While we usually bring you small clips from the taping, there were no cell phones or cameras allowed during this particular taping.
We can tell you a highlight of the evening was the moment that Kesha and Old Crow Medicine Show collaborated on a song written by Kesha’s mother, Pebe Sebert – “Old Flames Can’t Hold a Candle to You.” A song previously performed by Dolly Parton and Merle Haggard but now makes an appearance on Kesha’s latest album Rainbow.
The show closed with “Wagon Wheel” a song written by Bob Dylan and 25 years later Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show added verses. Old Crow Medicine Show will return to the Ryman for its eighth annual New Year’s Eve shows Dec. 30-31. Other recent CMT Crossroads show has featured Maren Morris and Alicia Keys and Florida Georgia Line with the Backstreet Boys.
CMT Crossroads show will air on December 6 at 9 p central.
