Wake Up on the Right Side of the Bed!

First thing in the morning, upon waking, before my feet hit the floor, I thank the Lord for another day. I say it out loud and purposefully.

I want to set my day up right! Should I wake up and before my feet hit the floor, say something negative, like, “ugh, I am so tired…”, this is going to affect my whole outlook for the day. I am setting up the atmosphere. I am putting it out there.

Usually, when someone does something, whether it is successful or unsuccessful, either a thought has taken place or words have been spoken. No action is taken without one of these two things happening first. So, choose to set your day up by waking up with a powerful word. Set your day right before you even put your feet down.

Next, when you look into the mirror for the first time of the day, what is it you see? If you see power, you will see and live success. If you see failure, that is what you will see and live. Even on the days when you don’t feel physically your best, you can smile and when your eyes see that, it does something. It lifts you up. Truly look at yourself, not to judge yourself, but to help yourself. Think about what you see going on in your eyes and either change it, or go with it. You make the choice. It’s all in your hands.
