Sports Illustrated is reporting that UT’s opening game against Utah State will not be played on Saturday but on Sunday of labor day weekend.

With the excitement of the talented recruiting class, Vol fans can not wait for the season to kick-off. Unfortunately for them, it will start one day later than scheduled.

The University of Tennessee announced that its season-opening football game against Utah State will move to Sunday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. The game was originally slated for Saturday, Aug. 30, and the move to Sunday means that the annual Boomsday event held in the city of Knoxville will move to Saturday evening, giving Vols fans the opportunity for a unique and memorable Labor Day weekend.

So change your calendars folks and be patient, the second year of Butch Jones is only 144 145 days away.
