Volunteers Needed to Green Up Nolensville Park

The Nolensville Park will be getting a few new trees on Saturday, March 14 as part of the Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC)’s effort to plant one million trees across the state. Volunteer help is needed to make this possible.

This 50K Tree Day event will be led by the Mill Creek Watershed Association, and 40 volunteers are needed to help make planting the 400 trees possible. On every 50K Tree Day, the TEC attempts to plant 50,000 trees in 95 counties across the state. The Cumberland River Compact and Mill Creek Watershed will be on-site in Nolensville to facilitate the event.

Volunteers are asked to wear closed-toed shoes and bring a water bottle. All tools and equipment will be provided, but MCWA encourages volunteers to bring their own gloves and shovels if possible.

The event will be at Nolensville Park, Rocky Fort Rd. on Saturday, March 14 from 10 a.m. until noon.
