In celebration of National Pi Day, the celebration of the mathematical constant beginning in 3.14 (3/14), University of Tennessee starting quarterback Joshua Dobbs made a bet with a VFL Films reporter on how many numbers in the sequence he could name.
Pi is thought to have five trillion units in its sequence.
Dobbs, an aerospace engineering major at UT, listed 28 last year. Just as his performance on the football field improved from freshman to sophomore year, so did his performance in this contest.
Safe to say Dobbs knows his Pi. Vol fans can only hope he continues to be as successful on the football field as he is in the classroom.
