Volkert Global, the international affiliate of multi-services engineering firm Volkert, Inc., on Tuesday announced plans to relocate to a larger facility in Franklin as the company continues to expand in the Middle Tennessee region.
“Volkert Global is a rapidly-growing company with large-scale projects in several countries. We chose to locate our new 8,000-square-foot headquarters in Middle Tennessee for several reasons, including the great economy, top-notch talent pool, and a strong commitment to trade and international business development,” said Jerry Stump, President and CEO of Volkert Global, in a press release announcing the decision.
Owned and developed by Crescent Communities, the largest active developer in Franklin’s Cool Springs submarket, Two Greenway Centre is a five-story, 155,000 square foot LEED Class A office building off Innovation Drive, adjacent to Jackson National Life Insurance and across Carothers Parkway from Nissan North America.
The building will feature a heavily landscaped back lawn with a connection to fitness trails, as well as an on-site wellness studio featuring a wide variety of fitness classes.
Crescent Communities Commercial and Mixed-Use President Brian Leary said, “We envisioned and designed Two Greenway to be version 2.0 of our successful legacy building we built and filled for years in Cool Springs for our tenants to attract and retain the best and brightest talent. The team at Volkert is the clearest example of this.”
Stump added, “The facility at Two Greenway reflects Volkert’s longstanding commitment to sustainability and conservation, and we’re excited to build a permanent presence in this dynamic and welcoming community. We look forward to welcoming new employees who will benefit from the facility’s amenities and location while also playing an integral role in Volkert Global’s continued expansion.”
Volkert Global plans to occupy the new facility in early 2017.
