Vet Tech Students Raise Money With Doggy Day Spa

You may visit the spa from time to time for a massage or facial, but what about your dog?

Columbia State Community College’s veterinary technology students invite all dogs to enjoy a spa day Oct. 18th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Dogs will be treated to a variety of services. The doggie shampoo service is priced to the size of the individual pooch, and all baths include wash, blow dry and good brushing. Pricing is:

  • $5 – small dogs
  • $8 – medium pooches
  • $10 – large pups
  • $15 – extra-large fur babies

Spa dogs can also enjoy a nail trim for $5 and an ear cleaning for $4. For the pampered pooch, the package deal includes all services – wash and dry, nail trim, ear cleanse, a spritz of perfume and doggie treats – for $15-$20. All dogs will receive a complimentary bandana or bow.

The vet tech students will also have a bake sale and an arts and crafts sale that pet parents can visit while their dogs are groomed.

All proceeds from the doggie spa day support the activities of Columbia State vet tech students. Grooming will take place in the Health Sciences Building on the Columbia Campus, located at 1665 Hampshire Pike.
