Vanderbilt Commodores (2-0) vs.  No. 18 Kansas St. Wildcats (2-0)

When: Saturday Sept. 16th, 6:30 p.m., ESPNU

Site: Vanderbilt Stadium – Nashville, TN

What to Watch For:
Vanderbilt is heading into the matchup with Kansas State winning their first two games for the first time under Head Coach Derek Mason. Kansas State and Vanderbilt share similar offensive philosophies, as the Wildcats will mirror both Georgia and Florida with their approach. Vandy Quarterback Kyle Shurmur seems poised, as he leads the country in QB rating (97.5) while Wildcats Quarterback Jesse Ertz comes in at fourth at 89.9.

Wildcat Wide Receiver Byron Pringle is a force offensively for Kansas St. The junior followed up a 639 yard, 4 touchdown effort throughout 2016 with a 3 reception, 121-yard day in their opener against Central Arkansas, paired with a touchdown on Sept. 2. Kansas State also features a bevy of running backs to counter an efficient pass attack.

The ‘Dores look to get Ralph Webb going as the Senior turned in a pair of solid performances in their first two games with touchdown scores, but  he has yet to really breakthrough as the veteran looks for his first 100-yard game this season after seeing limited work in the win over Alabama A&M.

Kyle Shurmur and Vandy’s multitude of pass catchers look to stay hot – as 10 Commodore receivers hauled in a reception through two games. Sophomore Kalija Lipscomb (3 TD) leads the group.

Both programs are coming off rather easy victories as Kansas State (55-7) and Vanderbilt (42-0) look ahead to Saturday under the lights.
