This free event will include story times, face painting and “Touch a Truck” by Williamson County Parks & Recreation and the City of Fairview. The Franklin event will feature science experiments by Mr. Bond and the Science Guys, adoptable pets from Williamson County Animal Shelter and Chick-fil-A meals and Kona Ice for purchase. The Fairview event will feature book giveaways, “Play with Your Food” games (with produce to take home), and nature hikes around Lake Van. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy the beauty of Bowie Nature Park. Free bottled water and popcorn will be available at both events.

This event is one of hundreds of other United Way Day of Action events across the country in June. The annual United Way Day of Action calls on people to join together to improve their communities. United Way representatives will provide information for adults interested in volunteering for UWWC’s Raise Your Hand tutoring program or finding other volunteer opportunities in the community.
