On April 28, Williamson County Schools once again earned recognition from the United Way of Williamson County for the efforts of the district and its students at the annual Community and Volunteer Celebration Awards.

United Way distributes Education Awards that are based on the amount of funds raised and the participation of the school or district. In addition to being named a Top 25 corporate partner, WCS was also given the Circle of Caring Award. Bethesda Elementary received the award at the elementary level, Woodland Middle at the middle school level and both Centennial and Summit high schools received a High School Education Award.

Several individual students were also recognized at the award ceremony. Ravenwood High senior Liana Wood was given a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Award, and Page High junior Meredith Dunn was given an Exemplary Service Award for her work with Page High’s YAC group.
