Two Williamson County Basketball Players Make All-State Team

Braxton Blackwell was named to the 2014 Tennessee Sports Writers Association All-State boys basketball team.

The sophomore out of CPA was also awarded Mr. Basketball for Class AA after stat stuffing 2013-2014 season that helped propel his team to a State Semi-Final game against Jackson South Side.

The guard has been getting looks from several big name colleges and with a successful camp a couple weeks ago, his rankings are on the rise.

Blackwell averaged 19.4 points per game to go with 12.1 rebounds and 12 assists.

On the girls side, Allison Cowie out of Battle Ground Academy was named to the All-State Team as well. She averaged by 15.5 points per game for the Wildcats.

BGA was eliminated from the post season with a loss to St. Cecilia back on February 8th.
