Truffle Shop Returns to Original Franklin Location After 13 Years

The Cocoa Tree downtown franklin

Chocolatier Bethany Torino is having a full-circle moment with her truffle business. The Cocoa Tree is returning to its original downtown Franklin location after 13 years away. We stopped by to talk with Torino and her business partner about the new store that is offering old favorites.

The Cocoa TreeThe Cocoa Tree’s first retail store opened in 2004 in what was originally a closet in the back of Franklin Mercantile Deli. From there, Torino worked out of a variety of places in downtown Franklin, including the space now occupied by Haven and in the Unruli Hair Salon space. Torino then took her other-worldly truffles to Nashville, opening a shop in Germantown.

After closing the Nashville location in 2012, The Cocoa Tree was never far from Torino’s mind and finally after the nudge from her new business partner TJ, she is reopening The Cocoa Tree in its original location at 100 4th Avenue North.

On Friday, November 10th, The Cocoa Tree will have a soft opening, with a grand opening scheduled for November 18th at 11 a.

Watch our interview with Bethany and TJ as we talk about the journey of The Cocoa Tree and what you will find there.

The Cocoa Tree is located at 100 4th Avenue North, Franklin. Hours during the soft opening will be 11 a – 3 p from Monday – Friday and Saturday 10 – 6 p. Follow The Cocoa Tree on Facebook for the latest updates.

We are live at the Cocoa Tree in downtown Franklin just ahead of their opening.
