A little piece of country music history is now on the market. Country music artist, Trisha Yearwood, has put her Brentwood home, located at 9324 Concord Road, up for sale.
Originally purchased back in 2000 for $1.775 million, the 1920s renovated cottage is listed for 2.2 million.
The 6,553 square foot home sits on 4 acres with 2 gated entrances, 5 bedrooms and 6 baths. Some may recognize her gorgeous kitchen, as it was featured on a Great American Country cooking special as well as an HGTV Christmas special.
Yearwood says she’s selling the home because her husband, country music superstar, Garth Brooks, owns acreage north of Nashville and it doesn’t make sense to keep both. Yearwood and Brooks married back in 2005 dividing their time between Oklahoma and Nashville while raising Brooks’ three daughters.
Trisha Yearwood, who has won three Grammy Awards®, two Academy of Country Music Awards, three Country Music Association honors and had 19 top 10 singles, released her first best-selling cookbook, Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen (Clarkson Potter), in 2008. Her second book, Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood (Clarkson Potter), followed in 2010. Both books reached the #1 position on the New York Times best-seller list in the Advice, How-To and Miscellaneous category.
