Williamson County Tree Lightings & Christmas Parades 2018

Local Christmas tree lightings and parades are just around the corner. Here’s a list of tree lightings and Christmas parades throughout Williamson County. We’ll continue to update this list as more information comes in.

Franklin

Franklin Tree Lighting

Come enjoy music, Downtown Franklin stores and the exciting Christmas Tree Lighting, featuring music from Holly Williams and JT Hodges, along with the Freedom Intermediate School and Centennial High School Choirs. Get free photos with Santa and many other characters just in time for the holidays!

Franklin Christmas Parade

The Kiwanis Club of Historic Downtown Franklin sponsors this annual celebration of the sights and sounds of Christmas. Winding through the streets of historic downtown Franklin, the parade is a wonderful family event that kicks off the holiday season.

The theme for the 2018 parade is “The Magic of Christmas!” Christian recording artist Bart Millard will be this year’s Grand Marshal.

Leiper’s Fork

Leiper’s Fork Christmas Parade

The Leiper’s Fork Christmas Parade is the wackiest parade in this area! They have tractors, old cars & trucks, beautiful floats, cute floats, wacky floats, people dressed in crazy costumes, pigs, dogs, horses, donkeys, mules, horse & buggies, chuck wagons, horse drawn wagons & of course Santa!

Come early! The parade begins at 2pm and the road through the village closes just before 2pm and will not reopen until the parade begins.

Brentwood

Brentwood Tree Lighting
Dec 3, 5pm

Don’t miss the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library, Monday, December 3 at 5:30pm with special dedication by Mayor Jill Burgin. The evening is filled with special music, holiday treats, and warm cider. The tree lighting’s special music will be provided by the Ravenwood High School Chorus. At 5pm and 6pm, there will be readings of The Polar Express in the Reading Room. Everyone attending The Polar Express reading must have a ticket. The event is free, and tickets will be available ahead of time.

The Brentwood Library is located at 8109 Concord Road.

Nolensville

Nolensville North Pole Experience/Tree Lighting
Dec 4, 6 pm – 8 pm

The Nolensville Christmas tradition continues this year with The North Pole Experience. They are moving to a new location this year as they partner with Nolensville Historical Society. Santa and his elves are making plans to transform the old gym into a workshop. Bring the family, invite your neighbors and be prepared to hang out for a little while and enjoy food, coffee and light the Christmas tree.

Spring Hill

Spring Hill Christmas Parade
Dec 8, 2pm

Spring Hill’s 11th-annual Christmas Parade takes place December 8th. The 2018 Kiwanis Spring Hill Christmas Parade sponsored by Chick Fil A will be held on December 8th, 2018. The Christmas village will start at 2pm, the Christmas Tree lighting will be at 5pm and the parade starting at 5:30pm. The theme this year is “Christmas Around The World”.

Thompson’s Station

Thompson’s Station Tree Lighting

Thompson’s Station annual tree lighting takes place Sunday, December 2nd from 4-6pm at Sarah Benson Park. There will be free photos with Santa, food vendors, Cookie Contest, Caroling and more!

Sarah Benson Park (formerly Thompson’s Station Park) is located at 1513 Thompson’s Station Road.

Fairview

Fairview Christmas Parade

Come and enjoy the sites of children laughing, cheering and beautiful light wrapped floats travel down 96 from Westwood Elementary to celebrate all that 2018 brought us and the joy of what the new year will bring. It is always the most wonderful time of the year!

College Grove

College Grove Christmas Parade
Dec 2, 2pm

Bring your friends and family to the Annual College Grove Christmas Parade on December 2nd at 2:00pm. The parade will start at the College Grove Fire Station and travel down Horton Highway.

Page High School’s Marching Band will be participating along with many of our first responders. There will also be a Float Contest.
