*Update- Tractor Supply – Tractor Supply Company, a huge sponsor of the Williamson County Fair this week, has announced an agreement to purchase the land for a new Store Support Center. Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson is “Thrilled Tractor Supply Company has decided to grow in Williamson County with the significant expansion of their Store Support Center. In addition to employing a large number of our citizens, Tractor Supply has been a tremendous philanthropic supporter of Williamson County.  I look forward to strengthening our relationship with such a great corporate citizen and promise to do everything I can to support their continued growth,” This location is where the current offices expect to move by mid-2014. Unprecedented growth has moved the company into three buildings and more space is needed.

“Our rapid growth has created a need for more space for our Store Support Center team members.  The new facility will consolidate our current team members into one location and also accommodate future expected growth,” said Jim Wright, Tractor Supply Company Chairman and CEO. “This transition would not have been possible without the assistance of our government partners at the city, county and state levels.  We have been a proud member of the Brentwood and Williamson County business communities for more than eight years, and we are pleased that we will continue to call this area our home.”

The proposed center will be 260,000 square feet, LEED certified and located in the new development on Virginia Way. It is part of the newly approved development that will include the City of Brentwood’s passive park being named Margaret Hayes Powell Park. “Tractor Supply is a great corporate citizen in Tennessee, and I am pleased the Company has decided to deepen its ties to our state in Williamson County,” said Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam.

“As one of our largest employers in Brentwood today, we are excited about Tractor Supply Company’s commitment to stay in our community and construct a new facility that will allow the Company to grow its employment in the future to effectively support its retail operations,” said Brentwood Mayor Paul Webb. Eakin Partners, LLC will serve as development consultant on the product, Hastings Architecture Associates, LLC as the architect, Ragan-Smith Associates as the civil engineer and Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC will be the general contractor.

The corner of Virginia Way and Granny White Pike will be the new home to a 250,000 square foot headquarters building for Tractor Supply Company, according to a recent story in the Nashville Business Journal. This ground breaking is scheduled to occur by the end of the year and represents a renewed commitment to Williamson County for the fast growing retail chain.

They are the largest retail farm and ranch store chain in the country, with stores in 45 states and an excess of 16,000 employees. Currently the company has more than 750 local team members. The company was founded in 1938 as a mail order catalog business.
