Tour The Dozier Home Saturday

Dozier House, Franklin

Builder Thrive Homes is inviting the public to tour the renovation of The Dozier Home (built in 1904)  and to visit the Ledgelawn sales center to learn more about the six other high-end homes for sale. The Ledgelawn property will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 25th. Snacks and refreshments will be served all day.  The Dozier Home will be the 2014 O’More Alumni Show House with Traditional Home magazine.

Thrive Homes CEO Chris Rudd says he really wanted to give Franklin a taste of what their dream home could be.

“Our clients have appreciated our sales center in Atlanta, because they can touch and feel samples and really visualize what their dream homes could look like,” said Rudd, a Franklin native. “We wanted to offer that to the Franklin community as well, and Pumpkinfest seemed like the perfect weekend to do it.”

Thrive Homes began construction on the Dozier Home in July, and drywall is being installed now. While the finishes and furnishings will be selected by the individual Show House designers, the historic home is worth a tour, even during this construction phase.

All six of the homes range from about 3,500 to 5,000 square feet, and have been approved for construction, and will soon break ground. Each home is currently available for purchase.

“We will have elevations, floor plans and finish options on hand, including things like flooring, countertops, appliances, plumbing fixtures and lighting,” Rudd said. “At this point there’s still an opportunity to customize finishes, but we are confident that these homes will sell quickly.”

The event is free and open to the public. Kids are welcome to join and enjoy hot cider and s’mores.

In the name itself, Thrive Homes strives on core principles. The company thrives on top quality construction, custom designed homes built to last a lifetime, while also creating high-value for clients.
The company concentrates its focus homes that are rich in history and character, taking great pride in construction of new homes, as well as renovations and additions that are designed and integrated to fit in to the historical fabric of their surroundings.

Rudd notes, “We hope anyone with an interest will make a point to visit on Saturday during Pumpkinfest.”
