We’ve been waiting for September to show up for months now. And with Pilgrimage Festival being just a few weeks away, we thought we would give you our top 5 performances we are anticipating this year. We’re going to be honest, picking just five was hard because this line-up is so packed with talent. But here it goes, let us know who you are looking forward to at this year’s Pilgrimage Festival. Pilgrimage Festival takes place Sept 24-26 at Harlindsale Farm in Franklin. Click here to buy your tickets.

5. Jason Isbell

While you won’t find his music played on mainstream country music stations, this artist continues to sell out venues across the country.  Isbell recently made headlines when Sturgill Simpson was upset over the ACM honors recognizing Merle Haggard, an outsider of country music. Simpson named Isbell as an artist like himself that the industry has overlooked.  However, Isbell received three nominations for the Americana Awards that will be held just before Pilgrimage Festival in Nashville. His latest album Something More than Free was released in July 2015. As soon as it was released it was number one on the Country, Folk and Rock charts. Watch the video below of “Something More than Free.”
