Today Show

Today Show announced the third hour of the show will be filmed in Nashville on Friday, November 22.

The show will be live from Pinewood Social in Nashville with Today Show veteran, now Franklin resident, Kathie Lee Gifford returning to host.

During the announcement made Monday, the hosts gave a clue as to where they were headed by saying, “The Today Show makes it’s journey south to a city steeped in history, with chicken that will burn your mouth; it’s got songs and beer and mystery. We don’t know where to go first but we’ll drink the whiskey straight, from a Grecian temple to a famous church, this city sure sounds great.”

Over the weekend, Gifford was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Nashville Pops Orchestra in recognition of her accomplishments with a focus on the difference she has made in the lives of others and making the world a better place.

A devoted humanitarian, Gifford lends support to numerous children’s organizations including Childhelp and the Association to Benefit Children, which spawned Cassidy’s Place and Cody House, named after her two children.

Gifford starred in a Christmas Hallmark movie, “Godwink Christmas” which debuted on Sunday evening. Gifford also wrapped as principal photography on Then Came You, a film she has written, produced and starred in alongside Craig Ferguson. The inaugural gala event, An Evening With Kathie Lee Gifford, was held at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum on Saturday, Nov.16 benefitting The Bright Horizons Award.

This weekend brought big news Gifford shared on Instagram of her daughter’s engagement, “So thrilled to announce that my beautiful daughter, @cassidygiff is engaged to a wonderful man, Ben @letsgetwierda I am beyond the moon and stars. Thank you, LORD!”
