On Thursday night, the Titans signed defensive end/outside linebacker Shaun Phillips, who was not resigned by the Broncos after his 10-sack, 34-tackle and 1-interception season last year.

The 32-year-old Phillips and the Titans agreed to terms on a 2-year $6 million contract.

Phillips spent the first 10 years of his career with the San Diego Chargers, before moving to Denver after the 2012 season. Over the last two years Phillips amassed 19.5 sacks.

His presence in the Tennessee D will bolster the pass- rush of a team that sorely needed help in that arena. The Titans sacked the quarterback the 21st least times last year, with 36.

Phillips 10 sacks last year placed him among the top 20 pass rushers in the league.
