The Tennessee Titans continue to make moves in the offseason and today announced they have let kicker Rob Bironas go.
With Bironas being due a $250,000 roster bonus to go along with the near $3 million dollars on his contract for this season, the Titans organization decided that the value he would bring on the field wasn’t worth the money they would spend.
In his nine years with the organization, the 36 year-old Louisville, Kentucky native, made 239 out of 279 field goal tries, making him one of the most productive field goal kickers in the league.
Tennessee’s former star kicker is second in career points for the franchise with 1,032. (28 points behind Al Del Greco for the lead).
Bironas made 25 of 29 field goals last season.
