The Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt has put together a list of tips for keeping your children safe on sleds. With the crazy weather forecast that Williamson County is having right now these hints could keep your child out of the ER.
- Wear a helmet kids! Injuries are reduced when we protect those brains!
- Avoid hillsides that end near a street or parking lot.
- Avoid hillsides that end near ponds, trees, fences, or other hazards.
- Never ride a sled being pulled by a car, ATV, snowmobile or other motorized vehicle.
