Tiger Woods Scouts Williamson County Development Site

According to Biz Journals, legendary professional golfer Tiger Woods came to Williamson County this month, further validating a proposed development that would be anchored by golf courses Woods would design.

Woods visited the town of Thompson’s Station, one of the places that seems poised for a growth spurt as expansion stemming from Brentwood and Franklin spills further south. As evidence of that, the roughly 1,200-acre property Woods toured is just west of Boyle Investment Co.’s 600-acre, mixed-use Berry Farms development, which features forthcoming corporate headquarters for finance guru Dave Ramsey’s company and expanding contractor Lee Co.

Woods had been on-site in Thompson’s Station once before, but it was a shorter and much more preliminary visit. This time, Woods took a full property tour and walked the entire 18-hole course (PVC pipes indicated where the tee box, the center of the fairway and the green would be for each hole).
