Three Williamson County Schools Public Service Announcement (PSA) campaigns are earning national recognition.

The National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) awarded the WCS Communications Department three Golden Achievement Awards for three separate PSA campaigns: Don’t Drive Distracted, Every 1 Counts and Digital Dangers. These awards are given out annually to recognize exemplary work in all aspects of school public relations, communication, marketing and engagement.

“It is such a treat to work with these talented, creative Communication team members,” said WCS Communications Director Carol Birdsong. “I’m proud that their work is being recognized at the national level. We share these awards with Safety and Security Director Mike Fletcher, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, the School Resource Officers and Department of Homeland Security Special Agent Dennis Fetting, without whom these PSA’s would not have been possible.”
