The Kessinger family, Kevin, Jean, and daughter, Leslie, own and operate the Cool Springs store, and they will do the same for the new Mt. Juliet location. “The original Three Dog Bakery opened in 1989 in Kansas City, Missouri and it was the first store of its kind with a mission to bake dog treats from scratch that pet owners could feel good about giving their dogs,” says Leslie Kessinger. “We lived in Kansas City for 13 years and absolutely love the Three Dog Bakery brand.”

As avid dog lovers, the Kessigner’s have long been committed to helping animals. In addition to volunteering at Animal Rescue Corps and Nashville Humane Association, they have sponsored events and donated to many animal welfare organizations, such as, the Mt. Juliet Animal Shelter, Snooty Giggles, Rags to Riches, and Tails of the Trail. “Family members in Nashville have even adopted rescued dogs from New Leash on Life, Proverbs 12:10 and Agape Animal Rescue,” explains Leslie. “At Three Dog Bakery, ‘Dogs Love Us and We Love Dogs.’”

Three Dog Bakery is located on West McEwen Drive, adjacent to Whole Foods in the McEwen Shopping Center in Franklin. Click here to follow Three Dog Bakery on Facebook.
