Thousands Attend Free Keith Urban Concert

Keith Urban

It was not your typical Monday, as thousands attended a free Keith Urban concert in downtown Nashville yesterday. Some reports estimate as many as 7,000 attended the lunch time concert.

A stage was erected in the plaza at Bridgestone Arena and the crowd spilled out onto Broadway and filled 5th Avenue.

Urban thanked the crowd for coming out to the concert. He even gave a shout out to the Grilled Cheeserie saying”If you are going to have one food truck, it should be the Grilled Cheeserie.”

Abby Hawk from Clarksville was celebrating her birthday and Urban called her to the stage where they took a selfie with the crowd in the background.

There was another fan who waited 19 hours for the concert to begin. And it was definitely worth the wait. For one hour, Urban played songs from his new Ripcord album. Our first listen of the Ripcord album was last June during CMA Fest when the single “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” was released and later became Urban’s 19th number one hit.

Over the weekend, Nicole Kidman released a video on her Facebook page where she sang “Wasted Time” from the Ripcord album.

For $15, you can purchase Ripcord. Urban is teaming up with St. Jude Hospital. When you purchase the album online, one will be shipped to a patient at St. Jude on your behalf. Clickthis link to buy yours.
