Attention Farmer’s Market shoppers: The organizers of the Thompson’s Station Farmers Market say the market is suspended until further notice due to a permitting issue.

The news was shared over the weekend. As can be seen in their post below, the market writes, “due to a permitting issue with the Town of Thompson’s Station, the Thompson’s Station Farmers Market has been suspended and will be closed until further notice. We are working on trying to resolve the issue in the next few weeks. We hope to have some updates soon.”

  1. So let me see the towns Farmers Market needs a permit so the towns citizens can sell produce the towns people grew in their own gardens sounds like a money grab to me . Where did it get to the point that the city and county governments tell the citizens what they are and aren’t going to do take back our towns

  2. This is sad in our economic situation…so much for a free market starting at the simple town status in our land

  3. Any activity that involves selling food to the public needs to be inspected periodically for safety reasons. The permit process is how this is accomplished.
