Grace Christian played a competitive first half, but the Lions fell to Moore County by a 67-21 score on Friday.
GCA evened the score at 7 with 5:30 left in the first quarter on Gabriel Buzek’s 29-yard run and kicker Cruz Hartman’s point-after, before Moore County’s Dylan Knight’s 2-yard run, followed by a missed point-after, put the Raiders up 13-7.
But the Lions couldn’t stop Moore County from there. They trailed 21-7 at the break before giving up 33 unanswered third-quarter points.
The Lions added rushing touchdowns from Blake Barton (5 yards) and Carter Murphy (49) in the fourth quarter.
Grace Christian (0-6) travels to Huntland next Friday.
Wow, GCA football stinks to high heaven. Why even show up?
