These Hands-on Birthday Parties Spark Thought

Is your child tired of experiencing the same old birthday party? Birthdays only come around once a year. Instead of doing what all the other kids are doing — which may have even become boring by now –perhaps it’s time to break the mold. Think out-of-the-box and try something new, fun and exciting that your child, and his/her friends will truly appreciate — and remember. (Shhh…the kids may even learn a thing or two.)

The Extracurricular Center, located in Brentwood’s Maryland Farms, has three unique, science-centered, 90-minute hands-on birthday party package options your son or daughter will never forget.

3 HANDS-ON BIRTHDAY PARTY OPTIONS:

  1. With the latest Star Wars sequel opening next month, let your child experience a birthday party from A Galaxy Far, Far Away. Each party attendee will have fun building a hologram prism, and find out what happens to something that is frozen in carbonite, or as a young scientist might call it, liquid nitrogen.
  2. Most kids have wanted to be an action figure at one time or another, so how about having an Action Figure Party! But not just any action figure party. In this hands-on experience, kids will learn the basics of 3D modeling while constructing a custom action figure that they get to keep.
  3. Robots have always fascinated kids, and they still do. At a Robotics Birthday Party, participants build and program a robot, and guide it successfully through a maze to the birthday cake at the end. The kids get to take home building instructions for their robot so it can be recreated.

“We are very excited to be offering children a chance to celebrate their birthdays with hands-on experiences utilizing some of the newest technology out there,” says Extracurricular Center President and Lead Instructor, John Bryant. “These parties are hassle-free for parents and lots of fun for the kids.”
