The Village Brings You Virtual Church on this Snow Day

The Village

Although many churches needed to cancel services this morning due to icy roads, newly launched local church, The Village United Methodist Church , finds a unique way to host worship services during one of the area’s largest snow storms. Below, you’ll find a welcome message, a link to an excerpt of today’s sermon, ideas for your family and more.

“We didn’t want our inability to gather at our typical location to keep us from worshiping together,” said Travis Garner, Lead Pastor of The Village, “At The Village we’re focused on how we can be the church out in the community, and providing a way for people to still worship at home during the snow storm is just an extension of that.”

Enjoy their Sunday message and stay warm!

SCRIPTURE AND SERMON
Scripture: Matthew 4:23-25
“23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. 24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them. 25 Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him.”
