The Oak Ridge Boys Sing to Bring Amazon to Nashville

The Oak Ridge Ridge Boys produced a “singing telegraph” plea to Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos to consider Nashville for its next headquarters.

Breaking into the familiar “Elvira” tune of the group stops and says, “We’re The Oak Ridge Boys. How ya doing Jeff? Did you hear that? Elvira. That’s Music City USA, man”

Nashville Business Journal reported that Amazon scout team did in fact, visit Nashville as they seek to build a second headquarters.

“Amazon is working with each HQ2 candidate city to dive deeper on their proposals and share additional information about the company’s plans. We’re excited to visit each location and talk about how HQ2 could benefit our employees and the local community, Amazon spokesman told NBJ.

Did The Oaks seal the deal?  Only time will tell.
