Better Business Bureau Serving Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky is now accepting nominations and applications for the 2022 BBB Spark Awards.
The BBB Spark Awards, presented in partnership with WKRN is an awards recognition program that celebrates emerging entrepreneurial businesses whose leaders demonstrate a high character level, generate a positive working culture, and engages with their community. To be eligible, the business owner must be 35 years old and under or have been in business for less than three years.
“BBB is honored to recognize entrepreneurs in our community who exemplify outstanding character, culture, and a commitment to the marketplace. We love celebrating marketplace models, and this award provides us the opportunity to showcase great businesses doing extraordinary things,” says Robyn Householder, President and CEO of BBB serving Middle TN and Southern KY.
The BBB Spark Award is the only award in North America. The award started filling a gap that BBB identified in the marketplace. Early-stage entrepreneurs and new business owners that demonstrated trust had no recognition platform. Since the inception of the Spark Awards, many entrepreneurs have received the recognition they deserve.
2021 Spark Award recipient John Collier, the owner of HomeWell Care Services, stated, “It is exciting when you are recognized for doing things the right way. As a start-up, it is sometimes scary, and receiving the BBB Spark Award was an affirmation to me and my team that we are doing things the right way.”
The award is open to for-profit organizations within the Middle TN & Southern KY region. Entrepreneurs are not required to be BBB Accredited but must be in good standing with BBB. Winners will receive cash prizes, one year of BBB accreditation, and media exposure.
Applications are open until August 26th, 2022. Additional information about the Spark Awards, how to apply, and application forms can be found online at www.BBBIntegrityFoundation.org/spark-award
