UPDATE: September 14th, 3:22 PM CST
The Franklin Boot Run was a huge success as hundreds flocked out early in the morning to show support. Many of the participants actually ran in their boots. The event was held to benefit injured military heroes through Boot Campaign and Not Alone. You can still help by joining  Team Not Alone.

Photos from the event will be posted here. Also check out this great video of the experience.

The top times for the 5k in the men’s division were Andrew Wisniewski in just over 20 minutes with Mathew Miles and Paul Leahy on his heels. The women’s division was also a heated race with the their first place runner finishing only 15 seconds behind Andrew. Congratulations to Rebecca Kokubun for an impressive time of 20:31, with Mandy Oakes and Caitlin Selle following her to the finish line.

Larson Meltzer was the top 14 and under finisher and Michael Drake topped the over 65 crowd. Thank you to everyone who joined us that day. You made a difference. “We had 441 participants and raised just shy of $50K total. We had a 92 year old WWII Vet and his American Legion group come out and we had young soldiers that are deploying..that was cool to see the two groups together,” said Danielle Zopt, Community and Corporate Relations Director.

Thank you to everyone who joined us that day. You made a difference!
