70 Williamson County Nonprofits Participate in The Big Payback

The countdown is on for Middle Tennessee’s largest online giving day, The Big Payback! Last year, more than 14,435 donors came together in a big way to “pay back” the nonprofits raising more than $2.65 million for the community in 24 hours.

The Big Payback is a community-wide, 24 hour online giving challenge hosted by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. This charitable event helps area nonprofits raise much-needed dollars and bring awareness to pressing needs in our communities.

For 24 hours, from midnight to 11:59 p.m. CST on May 3, 2016, donors can make gifts to participating nonprofits, schools, and religious institutions located in or providing services in the 40 counties of Middle Tennessee.

770 public charities, schools and religious institutions signed up to participate, 70 of them are located in Williamson County.

lisa ross parker foundationLisa Ross Parker Foundation
Although Lisa is no longer with us, her legacy of giving continues through the Lisa Ross Parker Foundation. The organization was founded in 2004 with a mission that encompasses two things most dear to Lisa: 1) Providing support for families touched by cancer, and 2) Assisting animal welfare organizations The Lisa Ross Parker Foundation strives to charitably honor the legacy of Lisa Ross Parker by continuing to pursue her charitable passions, including (but not limited to) assisting and caring for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and other blood-related cancers, and their families. In addition, we continue Lisa’s legacy by assisting with charitable animal welfare and supporting other animal advocacy organizations that follow the same principles.

MAMMAM
MAM wants everyone to know and understand that they are LOVED, VALUED and EMPOWERED to make choices that lead to a life full of purpose and joy.    MAM does this by providing PREVENTION, EDUCATION and TRAINING in schools, communities and churches on challenging topics such as: eating disorders, self-harm, addiction, depression, teen pregnancy, body image and more. We believe that poor choices are a direct result of misunderstanding one’s value. Our goal is to equip young people to see that they have something unique and amazing to offer the world and help them access the resources they need while providing safe spaces where each individual can be heard.
