The Tennessee Soccer Club will be hosting its annual Mother’s Day soccer tournament this weekend May 8-10, 2015. The Tennessee Invitational will host 348 teams from 8 different states and will play games in Brentwood and Franklin. Teams will be playing games on Friday night, all day Saturday and throughout most of the day Sunday. Tennessee SC continues to grow their major outdoor events and the Tennessee Invitational is the largest single weekend soccer event in Tennessee.
Tennessee Soccer Club’s mission is to be an internationally recognized, community-centered soccer club that addresses all levels of soccer. They have teams ranging from U8-U18 players and service Williamson County and the greater Nashville area. Tennessee SC administers a select soccer program that provides a format for the youth player wishing to receive advanced soccer training and competition. Players are given the opportunity to improve their individual and team soccer skills, compete against other skilled players, and improve their changes of playing for their middle school, high school, or college soccer teams.
“On behalf of the citizens of Williamson County, I would like to extend a heart-felt welcome to all of the athletes, participants, and fans to the Tennessee Invitational Soccer Tournament in Franklin, Tennessee! We hope that you enjoy the excellent recreational facilities, the unique dining and shopping stops along your way and the wonderful people who make our community a top tourist destination,”said Williamson County Mayor, Rogers Anderson.
Approximately 15,000-17,000 visitors are expected to arrive attending games with over 160 teams coming in from out of town. There is an expected number of 2,700+ hotel room nights booked in the greater Nashville area. The public is welcome to attend our event and we’d encourage you to find more information about our event and Tennessee SC at www.tennesseesoccerclub.org.Related Story: Tennessee Soccer Club Has New Executive Director
