Through a stellar regular season performance, the Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) 2003 Boys ECNL Team is competing for a National Championship title this weekend in Denver.

At the Eastern Regional Event in Boston last week, TSC finished first in group play and advanced to the quarterfinals where they won 4-2 in overtime.

In the week since they landed back in Nashville as Eastern Regional Champions on July 4, they’ve continued to prepare for this weekend in Denver. “These guys really want to play well this weekend,” said TSC Executive Director and 2003 Boys ECNL coach Stuart Brown. “They’ve continued to work really hard and have remained so focused this past week. We had a few training sessions and I know the guys spent some time together off the field as well.”

The 2003 Boys are no strangers to success in big competitions, finishing as Runners-Up of the US Youth Soccer Southeast Regional Championships last year to the eventual National Champions.

“We are really excited to be here,” said TSC player Nolan Colladay. “We felt really good playing as a team last week (in Boston for Eastern Regionals) and were confident that we could advance to Colorado.”

TSC’s first game (semifinal round) was Friday July 13, vs. Napa Soccer Academy and they won 2-1, advancing to the Championship game on Saturday, July 14 against SAC Showcase Premier. Games will be live-streamed at this link:

“Ultimately, we want them to really enjoy this experience and go into the weekend feeling confident and excited to play,” said Brown. “Playing for a National Championship is a once in a lifetime kind of thing for most athletes. We want them to understand that perspective and soak that in so they can really appreciate what they have achieved in getting to this point. We are extremely proud of them for advancing this far in the tournament regardless of the results in Denver.”
