TDOT Commissioner John Schroer announced yesterday that Tennessee route 840 will officially be open on November 2, 2012. This is the completion of a project that started back in the 1970’s under then Governor Alexander. This will significantly impact traffic throughout middle Tennessee and open an alternate route from Knoxville to Memphis.
