Hear ye, hear ye all Renaissance and Medieval fans. The Tennessee Renaissance Festival is back in Arrington with 16th Century England-inspired markets and activities every weekend in May.
The festival’s Village of Covington Glen comes alive with the bustle of a Renaissance Marketplace, with over 60 skilled artisans from all over the country displaying wares from silks to swords and gems to jewels. Specialty foods and drinks also greet festival-goers, and many people who attend are dressed head-to-toe in Renaissance garb.
Local vendor Julie Deason is working a booth at the festival called A Temptation of Faeries.
The Tennessee Renaissance Festival runs May 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29 and 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is located in Arrington at 2124 New Castle Road. Pets are not allowed.
