Teen’s Mean Remarks Inspires Home Makeover

Often the elderly find it difficult to maintain their homes. Leonard Bullock overheard some teens say his home was “ugly” and should be “burned down.” The 75-year-old wasn’t able to update his large Oregon house, which would explain its appearance. Luckily for him, he wasn’t the only one who heard the teens making fun of his house, reports Buzzfeed.

Josh Cyganik, a 35-year-old train track inspector overheard the teens making fun of Mr. Bullock’s house. He then organized a group of volunteers to help Leonard paint his house.

Bullock, who had some mobility issues, was floored by the offer of help.“He was speechless,” Cyganik said.

He asked a few railroad coworkers to help with the labor, and also asked for volunteers in a post on Facebook. That post was shared more than 6,000 times.
