TBI, Sheriff’s Office Investigating Body Found in Bethesda Area

 

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after a body was found in the Bethesda community.

The body, an as-yet unidentified female, was found around 7:30 p.m. on Monday night,  according to Sharon Puckett, spokesperson for the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department.

“The medical examiner has the body and we are waiting to see what he says about cause of death,” she said.

Investigators for the Sheriff’s Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spent most of Monday night on the scene, and returned Tuesday morning for further processing. The Sheriff’s called in the TBI for assistance, as of Tuesday, it was not determined which will lead the investigation.

The body was located off of Choctow Road Cross Keys Road, near the unincorporated community of Bethesda, but at a College Grove address which was not released.

“She was found off the side of the road, a little bit off the road,” said Puckett.

According to WSMV-Channel Four, two men discovered the body on Monday while they were riding four wheelers along Cross Keys Road.

Channel 4 reported the evidence so far indicates the body was on an abandoned property and had been there less than 36 hours.
