Puckett’s Boat House will hold the next session of its “Uncorked” wine tasting series on Tuesday, Sept. 27 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
“Uncorked” is an interactive course designed to be informative and enjoyable for both wine connoisseurs and those with little to no knowledge on the topic. Participants will enjoy a pour of each of the month’s four featured wines with food pairings curated specially for each tasting by Boat House Executive Chef Donnie Counts as they are guided through descriptions of the wines by certified sommelier Keith Simpkins.
September’s theme of “Aromatic Whites” will give guests an opportunity to explore tastings of lesser-known white wines chenin blanc, falanghina, albariño and riesling. They will be accompanied by raspberry goat cheese brie, assorted fruit and orange crème fraîche, fresh mussels and bread pudding, respectively.
“Uncorked” participants can take notes throughout the evening and ask questions in a friendly and educational environment. After the class, the event’s presenting sponsor, Moon Wine & Spirits, will offer a coupon so those interested may purchase the wines tasted in the class.
Tickets are $30 per person, and seating is limited. More information can be found at facebook.com/PuckettsBoathouse/events, and tickets are for sale at eventbrite.com.
