It Takes Three

I was inspired by my Pastor to share with students the “3 keys of faith”.  However, I wanted to share with them how important these same keys are in being successful in a workout program.

He said the first key is to “replay past victories.”  Remember and often recount when you have achieved success in a workout, or when you have done something that you never thought you could do.  You are speaking and reliving positivity.

The second key is to “downplay the opposition”.  The opposition may be several things, but probably the biggest thing is our own thoughts!  Downplay the negative ones and go back to key number one, replay the past positive things.

Finally, the third key is to “pre-play future victories”.  Call your goals already reached!  Speak success into your workout program and visualize yourself at the finish line.  Put away the opposition and see the victor.

Putting all of these keys into motion will get you on the path to success.  It is important to remember that you may have slip-ups, but that’s ok.  Just get refocused and go for it.  No one said Rome was built in a day.
