Acklen Park Productions, who also host the Balloon Festival at Westhaven, held its first Franklin Taco & Tequila event at The Factory in Franklin on Saturday.
The sold-out event offered attendees live music, taco tastings from three different vendors which included the soon to be open Mojo’s Taco in the former Saffire location, tequila tasting from TC Craft and Libre.
Upon arrival, each ticket holder received 5 tokens which you could spend on tacos, tequila tasting, margarita or beer. While no tickets for the event were sold at the door, additional tokens were available for purchase at the event.
As we spoke to multiple attendees, the reviews were mixed. Many liked the idea of a Taco Festival and raved about the tacos from Mojo’s Tacos but long lines and lack of signage was a frustration for many.
