Take a First Look at Elliston Place Soda Shop Franklin

Elliston Place Soda Shop

On Thursday, we stopped by the newly opened Elliston Place Soda Shop in Franklin. After months of preparation and anticipation, a beloved Nashville restaurant officially opened the doors to its second location in Cool Springs this past weekend. A grand opening is planned for Saturday, June 2 with free ice cream at 10 along with other activities.

Owner, Skipp Bibb spoke to us about their opening day last Saturday where they had almost 75 people standing in line waiting for the soda shop to open.

While the new restaurant does not try to replicate its sister restaurant in Nashville, many design elements pay a historic nod to the Nashville restaurant. The original sign (see photo above) that hung outside the Nashville restaurant for nearly 75 years was hit by a delivery truck a few years ago. It was not repairable in terms of being able to put it back on the building but patrons can now see it in the Cool Springs restaurant, where it is displayed as a piece of art work.

Things not to miss- mile-high meringue on their in-house baked pies, milkshakes with a boozy option coming soon, the classic burger, and of course the regular meat and three options.

Elliston Place Soda Shop Cool Springs’ regular hours will be 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday,  Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday with brunch from 10 a – 4  p. The restaurant is located at 335 Mayfield Drive in Cool Springs.
