Tails and Trails 5K to Hold Inaugural Event in Franklin

Tails and Trails 5k for the Cure is a fun run/walk event for the runners and dog lovers at heart to be held on August 4 at 8 am at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin. The event is geared toward dog owners, pet lovers and athletes of all ages. Tails and Trails 5k for the Cure is a fundraising event honoring the life-long contributions of our canine caregivers. These dogs demonstrate unconditional love, joy, compassion and no judgements to cancer survivors’ abilities or appearance. It is an opportunity to join your community put your best paw forward in helping raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Race the trails in the 5k (3.1 mile run) or go for a casual 1 mile stroll with your canine companion  at the Tails and Trails 5k for the Cure on Saturday, August 4, 2018. Whether you are racing with your four-legged companion or just walking the trails to support at good cause, Tails and Trails 5k for the Cure is a fun run/walk event for the runners and dog lovers at heart. General Information

RACE START: THE Runners 5K STARTS AT 8:00 A.M. Line up according to pace with faster people in front, walkers behind. This is a chip-timed event.

THE Walkers 5K starts at 8:10 A.M. Larger and faster dogs should line up first. Owners are responsible for keeping their dogs “in line” at all times. This is also a chip-timed event.

 THE 1 MILE EVENT STARTS AT 8:45 A.M. Larger and faster dogs should line up first. Owners are responsible for keeping their dogs “in line” at all times. There is no chip timing for the 1 Mile event.

Non-retractable leashes are required.  **Please note that you must not pull your dog along the course**
