Sweet Business of Seersucker Candy Company Opens on Main Street

Seersucker Candy

Tucked beside Jamba Juice is a new comer to Main Street-Seersucker Candy Company, sister company of Olive and Sinclair. Seersucker Candy Company combines family with the love of artisan chocolate.

Walking through the front door of Seersucker Candy Company is like stepping back in time. With antique candy cases displaying rows of delectable hand made old school candy. Seersucker Candy is like looking at   small pieces of art with flavors that are like no other you’ve ever experienced.

Franklin resident,Scott Witherow, said “I live in downtown Franklin and always enjoy being a part of this community. With the opening of Seersucker,I can offer something unique and special to downtown Franklin that I hope everyone will enjoy.”

Tasting for the evening included bacon and jam chocolate that Witherow told us  with the popularity of bacon and chocolate he refused to do a typical bacon and chocolate. “We worked on this flavor until it was just right but something different than the typical bacon and chocolate.  We feel we accomplished that with the jam flavor.”

If you are not a chocolate fan,Seersucker has introduced  what they describe as  “adult sour patch kids”  with flavors of lemon and blackberry cabernet.

At this time, all production for Seersucker will take place at Olive and Sinclair in East Nashville but the storefront will be open daily Tuesday-Saturday  from 10am-6pm closing on Sunday and Monday.

Don’t forget to try the three original flavors:Cherry Bombs,Original Soft Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Ganache and Salted Bourbon Caramel. Seersucker Candy Company was voted by Garden and Gun Best New Candy company  in 2015.
