Yes, yoga on a paddle board can be more difficult,” said Liz Veyhl, instructor for SUP FloYo You are combining balancing on a board with yoga poses. It requires that you actually engage certain muscles more than usual in order to maintain balance or move in and out of poses.” Paddle yoga Warrior

Liz Veyhl with the Nashville Paddle Company started this water workout in Nashville on Percy Priest lake. Mandy Oakes, the owner of Sweat, attended her FloYo workshop

On July 1, Sweat Fitness Studio and the Nashville Paddle Company teamed up with Westhaven and Paddle Dog Adventures to do some Paddleboard Yoga on the lake at Westhaven. There were ten boards available with all spots filled within one week.

“My goal as instructor is to teach every student the basic foundations for paddling and to be able to offer as many modifications or basic poses as needed so everyone gets something out of the session,” Veyhl said.

The next Paddle Yoga classes from Sweat will be happening in two sessions at Westhaven lake on July 22. The first one starts at 8:45 a.m., and another will begin at 10:30 a.m. There are very few spots left so register act quickly to reserve your spot.
